Abid Khokar, MD is an lnterventional Pulmonologist with the Norton Thoracic Institute, St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.
 
 
 
Dr. John Tedesco
 
 
John Tedesco, MD is a thoracic surgeon with the Norton Thoracic Institute. He practices out of the Institute’s East Valley office and is affiliated with Chandler Regional Medical Center, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Tedesco has expertise in all aspects of thoracic surgery, including treatment of lung, esophageal and gastric cancers. His other interests include tracheal and airway disorders, esophageal disease and lung transplantation. He has extensive training and certification in minimally invasive robotic surgery and techniques such as video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).
He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in 2016. He completed his General Surgery residency at Stamford Hospital (Stamford, CT) where he was chief resident and he completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center (Maywood, IL).

Town of Gilbert Speaker Jeremiah Churchill will speak on Control Your Irrigation Controller.
 
Those timers with the dials and buttons can be intimidating but once you learn how they operate them they’re very easy to program. With this class you can master programming these to get the right amount of water to your landscape and keep your water bill from skyrocketing in the summers. You’ll also learn about some of the advanced functions of timers to dial in the savings. This class features hands on practice with actual irrigation timers to give you the confidence to control your controller.

Dr. Jawad Arshab
 
Dr. Arshad brings a wealth of expertise in interventional pain management, having completed an Interventional Pain Fellowship at the University of Arizona. His advanced skills include performing spinal injections, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator placements, and other advanced procedures - always with a focus on improving patient outcomes and quality of life. 
In addition to his fellowship, Dr. Arshad previously served as an Attending Physician with Envision, caring for patients across multiple hospital settings in the Phoenix area. He also served as an academic clinician with the University of Arizona College of Medicine, mentoring medical students and residents. 
Dr. Arshad earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a B.A. in Economics and Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago. His career journey also includes an Emergency Medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego, impactful research contributions, and a background in healthcare strategy consulting prior to medical school. 
Outside of medicine, Dr. Arshad is an avid traveler, having visited over 85 countries, all 50 states, and more than 55 national parks. He enjoys basketball, investment planning, and spending time with his family. His diverse experiences and global perspective bring a unique energy to our practice.
